पंजाब सरकार के सामाजिक सुरक्षा और महिला एवं बाल विकास विभाग द्वारा "ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों की विकलांग बालिकाओं के लिए उपस्थिति छात्रवृत्ति योजना" योजना शुरू की गई थी। इस योजना का उद्देश्य ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में विकलांग लड़कियों की स्थिति का उत्थान करना और इन लड़कियों को उपस्थिति छात्रवृत्ति के रूप में प्रोत्साहन देकर उन्हें निर्भर बनाना है। यह योजना ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में विकलांग लड़कियों को अपनी पढ़ाई जारी रखने और पढ़ाई छोड़ने वालों को कम करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करती है।
छात्रवृत्ति की दरः 1. 10वीं कक्षा तक की छात्राओं के लिए ₹2,500/- प्रति वर्ष। 2. आई. डी. 1 से लेकर उच्च शिक्षा तक की बालिकाओं के लिए ₹3,000/- प्रति वर्ष। निदेशालय छात्रवृत्ति को छात्र के बैंक खाते में ऑनलाइन जमा करेगा।

The primary objective of the scheme is to uplift the status of girls with disabilities in rural areas, making them self-reliant by offering incentives in the form of Attendance Scholarships. The scheme aims to encourage and support these girls to pursue and continue their education, thereby reducing dropout rates.
The scheme offers financial assistance to eligible girl students with disabilities in rural areas. The benefits include a scholarship amount to support their education and reduce economic barriers.
Girl students up to 10th standard are eligible for a scholarship of [?]2,500/- per annum.
Girl students from 10+1 onwards up to higher education are eligible for a higher scholarship amount of [?]3,000/- per annum.
The Directorate overseeing the scheme will credit the scholarship amount directly into the bank account of the eligible student.
All rural girl students of Punjab with 40% and above disability, falling under any disability category listed in the schedule of RPwD Act 2016, are eligible for this scholarship.
To qualify for the scholarship, the monthly income of the family or guardians of the girl student should not exceed [?]5,000/-.
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must maintain a minimum attendance of 70%.
The Attendance Scholarship is available for girl students starting from 1st Standard and continues up to higher education.
Applicants can submit their scholarship applications to the Head of their respective school, college, or institution. The Head, after verification, will forward the application to the District Social Security Officer (DSSO) of the concerned district.
