चरण 1: Offline application
Information about the disaster and the resulting damage is received from various sources. The concerned Patwari verifies the damage and records it in the P-20 form. The Patwari’s report is subsequently verified by the Tehsildar and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate. Approval is then obtained from the District Magistrate. Once the District Magistrate’s approval is received, relief funds are disbursed to the concerned beneficiaries at the Tehsil level. <br>
An ex-gratia grant of ₹16,000 per person is provided for hospital stays of more than one week, and ₹5,400 per person for stays of less than one week. <br>
Any person admitted to a government or non-government hospital due to injuries caused by a disaster is eligible. Persons injured during relief or preparedness-related work are also covered. <br>
