योजना का विवरण
यह अक्सर देखा जाता है कि निर्माण श्रमिकों के बच्चे कार्यस्थल पर अपने माता-पिता के साथ रहते हैं। गरीबी और माता-पिता के संसाधनों की कमी के कारण ऐसे बच्चे किसी भी स्कूल में प्रवेश नहीं ले पाते हैं या प्रवेश लेने के बाद अपनी शिक्षा जारी नहीं रख पाते हैं। निर्माण श्रमिकों के ऐसे बच्चों के लिए आवासीय विद्यालय शुरू करने की आवश्यकता को महसूस करते हुए एक आवासीय विद्यालय योजना प्रस्तावित की गई है। इस योजना का उद्देश्य 6 से 14 वर्ष के आयु वर्ग के पंजीकृत निर्माण श्रमिकों के बच्चों को प्राथमिक, कनिष्ठ उच्च विद्यालय और माध्यमिक शिक्षा की सुविधाएं प्रदान करके उन्हें गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा प्रदान करना है। योजना का क्षेत्रः शुरू में, आवासीय विद्यालय योजना इटावा, भदोही, कन्नौज, मुरादाबाद, फिरोजाबाद, ललितपुर, बहराइच, गाजियाबाद, कानपुर, आजमगढ़, आगरा और मेरठ जिलों में संचालित की जाएगी। बाद में, प्राप्त अनुभवों और जरूरतों के आधार पर, इस योजना का विस्तार अन्य जिलों में किया जाएगा।
