उत्तराखंड सरकार के विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग के तहत उत्तराखंड राज्य विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी परिषद (यू. सी. ओ. एस. टी.) द्वारा "सीमंत पार्वतीया जनपद बाल विज्ञान महोत्सव" योजना को लागू किया जाता है। इसका उद्देश्य राज्य के दूरदराज और सीमावर्ती जिलों में सरकारी/गैर-सरकारी स्कूलों के कक्षा 6 से 12 तक के छात्रों को विभिन्न विज्ञान प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेने और इन क्षेत्रों में वैज्ञानिक जागरूकता को बढ़ावा देने का अवसर प्रदान करना है
इसके तहत सीमावर्ती पहाड़ी जिलों के बाल वैज्ञानिकों को विभिन्न राज्य स्तरीय विज्ञान प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेने और दूरदराज के सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में गतिविधियों के माध्यम से वैज्ञानिक जागरूकता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए विशेष अवसर प्रदान किए जाते हैं
चरण 1: Offline application
All students from classes 6th to 12th can participate at the block level. The students selected at the block level then participate at the district level, and those selected at the district level get an opportunity to participate at the state level. <br>
Students from Class 6 to Class 12 studying in government or non-government schools located in the border districts of Uttarakhand can participate. <br>
The scheme covers six border districts of Uttarakhand: Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Champawat, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh. <br>
The competition is organized in three levels – Block Level, District Level, and State Level. Students selected at each level move on to compete at the next stage. <br>
At the block level, all interested students from Classes 6 to 12 can participate in science-based activities. Winners from this level qualify for the district-level competition. <br>
It promotes scientific awareness and education among students from geographically challenging and remote areas, motivating them to pursue science and technology as a career. <br>
Students first participate at the block level, followed by the district level, and then selected students advance to participate at the state level competitions. <br>
