व्यापक शैक्षिक ऋण योजना का शुभारंभ सिक्किम सरकार के कार्मिक और सुधार, प्रशिक्षण, लोक शिकायत विभाग द्वारा किया गया था। इस योजना का उद्देश्य सभी छात्र लाभार्थियों को एक वर्ष की मोहलत अवधि के साथ अध्ययन के एक विशेष पाठ्यक्रम की अवधि के लिए ब्याज मुक्त ऋण प्रदान करना है और गरीबी रेखा से नीचे के परिवार से संबंधित छात्र और भारत या विदेश में किसी मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान में व्यावसायिक पाठ्यक्रमों का अध्ययन करने वाले छात्र पर विशेष ध्यान देना है।
अधिकतम ऋण राशि ₹ 5,00,000-सिक्किम के भीतर पूर्णकालिक व्यावसायिक पाठ्यक्रमों के लिए-ऋण राशि ₹ 7,50,000-भारत में अध्ययन के लिए, और ₹ 15,00,000-विदेश में अध्ययन के लिए। * पढ़ाई बंद होने या ऋण लेने वाले की मृत्यु के मामले में, सह-आवेदक एक वर्ष से अधिक की अवधि के भीतर ऋण की पूरी राशि वापस करने के लिए उत्तरदायी होगा

The interested applicant should visit (during office hours) the Sikkim Industrial Development & Investment Corporation and request a hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form from the staff exclusively entrusted to issue and collect filled-in applications.
