इस कार्यक्रम के तहत 0 से 5 वर्ष की आयु के बच्चों को विशेष नवजात देखभाल इकाइयों (एस. एन. सी. यू.), नवजात स्थिरीकरण इकाइयों (एन. बी. एस. यू.) और पोषण पुनर्वास केंद्रों (एन. आर. सी.) के माध्यम से चिकित्सा सेवाएं प्रदान की जाती हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त, आशा कार्यकर्ता, आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ता और ए. एन. एम. 0 से 5 वर्ष की आयु के बच्चों को विटामिन ए और आई. एफ. ए. सिरप मुफ्त में वितरित करते हैं

"बाल स्वास्थ्य कार्यक्रम" उत्तराखंड सरकार के चिकित्सा स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण विभाग द्वारा कार्यान्वित राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन (एन. एच. एम.) के तहत एक पहल है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य राज्य भर में सुलभ, व्यापक और गुणवत्तापूर्ण स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं प्रदान करके 0 से 5 वर्ष की आयु के बच्चों के अस्तित्व, स्वस्थ विकास और समग्र कल्याण को सुनिश्चित करना है
