सिक्किम के मेधावी खिलाड़ियों को नकद सहायता के रूप में प्रोत्साहन पुरस्कार एक सरकारी नीति है जिसका उद्देश्य युवाओं को किसी भी खेल में खुद को शामिल करके अपना भविष्य बनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना है। यह योजना शारीरिक, सामाजिक, मानसिक और भावनात्मक रूप से सर्वांगीण विकास को बढ़ावा देने का प्रयास करती है, जिससे सामान्य रूप से नागरिकों की समग्र भलाई में योगदान मिलता है। यह पुरस्कार खिलाड़ियों को उनकी उत्कृष्टता की खोज में प्रोत्साहित करने और प्रेरित करने के उद्देश्य से शुरू किया गया है। यह योजना सब-जूनियर/कैडेट, जूनियर और सीनियर स्तर की खेल प्रतियोगिताओं के लिए लागू होती है, जिसमें पुरुषों और खिलाड़ियों दोनों के लिए समान मात्रा में पुरस्कार होते हैं। महिलाएँ। हालांकि, इस योजना के तहत अनधिकृत या आमंत्रण प्रतियोगिता में उपलब्धि पर विचार नहीं किया जाएगा। केवल युवा मामले और खेल मंत्रालय/साई/मान्यता प्राप्त खेल महासंघ के तत्वावधान में क्षेत्रीय, राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर आयोजित होने वाले टूर्नामेंट ही पात्र होंगे। इस योजना के तहत नकद पुरस्कार का वितरण प्रतिवर्ष आयोजित किया जाता है। पात्रता उन खिलाड़ियों तक ही सीमित है जो सिक्किम के वास्तविक निवासी हैं
