मुख्यमंत्री शिक्षा सहायता योजना (सीएमईएएस) सिक्किम सरकार के शिक्षा विभाग द्वारा शुरू की गई थी। इस योजना का उद्देश्य आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्गों, हाशिए पर पड़े समुदायों और विशेष रूप से सक्षम छात्रों को वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करना है। इस योजना के तहत छात्रों को राज्य के भीतर, राज्य के बाहर, विदेश में और पंजीकृत कोचिंग संस्थानों में शिक्षा प्राप्त करने के लिए वित्तीय सहायता प्राप्त होती है। योजना कार्यान्वयनः यह योजना मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालय (सी. एम. ओ.), सिक्किम द्वारा सत्यापन, अनुमोदन और निधि वितरण के लिए एक समर्पित नोडल अधिकारी के साथ लागू की जाती है।

चरण 1: Offline — Step 1
The interested applicant should visit (during office hours) the designated cell in the Chief Minister’s Office, Tashiling Secretariat, Gangtok and request a hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form from the staff exclusively entrusted to issue and collect filled-in applications.

In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attested, if required).

Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the Chief Minister’s Office, Tashiling Secretariat, Gangtok. > Post Application Process:

The application will be reviewed and verified through an official procedure.

A nodal officer appointed by the CMO will oversee eligibility, approval, fund disbursement, and record-keeping.

Upon approval, financial assistance will be disbursed directly to the applicant’s bank account. > Application Renewal Process: The financial assistance granted under this scheme may be renewed annually until the completion of the student’s course of study, subject to the following conditions:

The student must have passed and cleared all prescribed courses (semester/annual) in the enrolled academic programme.

The scholarship from other sources will be reviewed while verifying the applications and the eligibility will be considered accordingly.
