योजना का विवरण

मुख्यमंत्री शिक्षा सहायता योजना (सीएमईएएस) सिक्किम सरकार के शिक्षा विभाग द्वारा शुरू की गई थी। इस योजना का उद्देश्य आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्गों, हाशिए पर पड़े समुदायों और विशेष रूप से सक्षम छात्रों को वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करना है। इस योजना के तहत छात्रों को राज्य के भीतर, राज्य के बाहर, विदेश में और पंजीकृत कोचिंग संस्थानों में शिक्षा प्राप्त करने के लिए वित्तीय सहायता प्राप्त होती है। योजना कार्यान्वयनः यह योजना मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालय (सी. एम. ओ.), सिक्किम द्वारा सत्यापन, अनुमोदन और निधि वितरण के लिए एक समर्पित नोडल अधिकारी के साथ लागू की जाती है।

पात्रता

  • छात्र को सिक्किम राज्य का निवासी होना चाहिए। 1. छात्र को सरकार द्वारा परिभाषित आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्ग (ईडब्ल्यूएस) से संबंधित होना चाहिए। 1. छात्र को किसी मान्यता प्राप्त शैक्षणिक संस्थान, किसी मान्यता प्राप्त दूरस्थ शिक्षा संस्थान या विदेश में किसी मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान में नामांकित होना चाहिए। 1. छात्र को पंजीकृत कोचिंग केंद्र में अध्ययन करना चाहिए। 1. हाशिए पर पड़े, अल्पसंख्यक समुदायों और विशेष रूप से सक्षम श्रेणियों (दिव्यांगजन) और अनाथों के छात्रों पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाएगा। 1. छात्र की वार्षिक पारिवारिक आय सरकार द्वारा निर्दिष्ट सीमा से अधिक नहीं होगी, जैसा कि समय-समय पर संशोधित किया जाता है।

    The interested applicant should visit (during office hours) the designated cell in the Chief Minister’s Office, Tashiling Secretariat, Gangtok and request a hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form from the staff exclusively entrusted to issue and collect filled-in applications.

    In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attested, if required).

    Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the Chief Minister’s Office, Tashiling Secretariat, Gangtok. > Post Application Process:

    The scholarship from other sources will be reviewed while verifying the applications and the eligibility will be considered accordingly.

Any student who is a domicile of Sikkim and belongs to the EWS category can apply.

Can private institution students apply?

Yes, assistance is available for both government and private institutions.

What is the income limit to be eligible?

The family income should not exceed the government-specified limit (updated from time to time).
