केरल सरकार के सामाजिक न्याय विभाग द्वारा "ट्रांसजेंडर छात्रों को छात्रावास सुविधा प्रदान करने के लिए वित्तीय सहायता" योजना शुरू की गई थी। ट्रांसजेंडर हमारे समाज में किसी भी अन्य व्यक्ति की तरह ही आशा और सपने साझा करते हैं। 58 प्रतिशत ट्रांसजेंडर छात्र 10वीं कक्षा पूरी करने से पहले ही पढ़ाई छोड़ देते हैं (24 प्रतिशत ट्रांसजेंडर छात्र 9वीं कक्षा पूरी करने से पहले ही पढ़ाई छोड़ देते हैं)। इसके कारणों में शामिल हैं-गंभीर उत्पीड़न जिससे पढ़ाई असंभव हो जाती है और स्कूल में लिंग संबंधी अन्य नकारात्मक अनुभव। इस तरह के स्कूल छोड़ने वालों को अपनी शिक्षा जारी रखने में मदद करने के लिए, सामाजिक न्याय विभाग ने ट्रांसजेंडर के लिए एक छात्रवृत्ति योजना लागू की है। ट्रांसजेंडर समुदाय अभी भी समाज में बहिष्कृत है और आवास सुविधाओं की कमी के कारण नौकरी के प्रस्तावों को स्वीकार नहीं कर सकता है या अपनी शिक्षा जारी नहीं रख सकता है। हालांकि लोगों की मानसिकता में सुधार हुआ है, फिर भी समाज में ट्रांसजेंडर व्यक्तियों को घर देने का कलंक मौजूद है। इस समस्याग्रस्त परिदृश्य के कारण, जो ट्रांसजेंडर छात्रवृत्ति योजना का अनुसरण कर रहे हैं, वे अपनी पढ़ाई बंद करने के लिए मजबूर हैं। इस मुद्दे को हल करने के लिए, सामाजिक न्याय विभाग ने यह योजना शुरू की है जो ट्रांसजेंडर समुदाय को छात्रावास सुविधाओं/आवास खोजने के लिए किराए के रूप में वित्तीय सहायता के रूप में प्रति माह ₹4,000 की राशि प्रदान करती है।
इस योजना के तहत, ट्रांसजेंडर छात्रों को पाठ्यक्रम के दौरान छात्रावास की सुविधा/आवास खोजने के लिए किराए के रूप में प्रति माह 4,000 रुपये की वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान की जाएगी।

To avail of the benefits of the scheme, the applicant needs to visit SUNEETHI- Online Service Application Portal

On the home page, click on “One time Registration”

Fill in the details like Name, Email ID & Mobile Number and click on ‘Register’.

The applicant needs to enter the verification code received on the mobile number and click on ‘Verify’.

Now, a form will open to create the new profile, fill in all the mandatory details and click on ‘Register’. Login/Application Process:

Once the registration process is completed, the applicant should visit SUNEETHI- Online Service Application Portal and click on “Citizen Login”.

Enter the user name i.e. Mobile Number and Password and click on “Sign in”.

Now, the applicant needs to update all their details i.e. Personal Information, Contact Details, Identity Cards & Bank Details by clicking on the 'Edit' button.

Once the applicant updated their profile successfully, the schemes will appear on the left side of the screen.

Select the scheme and click on the “Apply Now” button.
