के. एस. सी. एस. टी. ई. द्वारा "केरल राज्य युवा वैज्ञानिक पुरस्कार" का उद्देश्य प्रतिभाशाली युवा वैज्ञानिकों को परिषद के दायरे में आने वाली विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी की किसी भी शाखा में उनके उत्कृष्ट योगदान के लिए सम्मानित करना है। पिछले तीन वर्षों से केरल में काम कर रहे विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी की किसी भी शाखा में पीएचडी के साथ भारतीय मूल के युवा वैज्ञानिकों द्वारा केरल में स्वतंत्र रूप से किए गए शोध को पुरस्कार के लिए विचार में लिया जाएगा। उम्मीदवारों को केरल में विश्वविद्यालयों के कुलपतियों, अनुसंधान एवं विकास केंद्रों के निदेशकों, संस्थानों और विभागों के प्रमुखों और अकादमियों के अध्येताओं द्वारा नामित किया जा सकता है। नामांकन 3 साल या पात्रता आयु, जो भी पहले हो, के लिए वैध होंगे। चयन एक विशेषज्ञ समिति द्वारा पूरी तरह से समीक्षा/मूल्यांकन के माध्यम से किया जाएगा।
1. प्रत्येक पुरस्कार विजेता को एक प्रमाण पत्र और ₹50,000/- का नकद पुरस्कार दिया जाएगा। 1. एक विशेषज्ञ समिति की मदद से अनुसंधान परियोजना पर उचित विचार करने के बाद प्राप्तकर्ता को परिषद द्वारा 50 लाख रुपये के शोध अनुदान के लिए विचार किया जा सकता है। 1. पुरस्कार प्राप्त करने के 3 साल के भीतर पुरस्कार विजेता को एक सम्मेलन में शोध कार्य प्रस्तुत करने के लिए विदेश यात्रा के लिए विचार किया जाएगा।

Candidates may be nominated by Vice-Chancellors of Universities in Kerala, Directors of Research Institutes/ R & D Centres of Industries, Heads of University Departments, Principals of Colleges with approved centers of research, Fellows of the Indian National Science Academy, Indian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Sciences, India, Indian National Academy of Engineering and Indian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

Nominations will be valid for 3 years or the eligibility age whichever is earlier. However, a fresh nomination (only once) can be made, if the nominee has not yet crossed the age bar.

Nominations in the prescribed format along with all supporting documents must reach the Director, KSCSTE, Sasthra Bhavan, Pattom P.O., Thiruvananthapuram – 695004. Note: Nominations that are not complete or received after the due date will not be considered. > Selection Procedure:

Candidates recommended by the screening committee after a rigorous criteria-based screening will be invited for the presentation of their research work.

The awards will be distributed during the inaugural session of the Kerala Science Congress by the Chief Minister. The research carried out independently in Kerala by young scientists of Indian origin with Ph.D. in any branch of Science and technology who has been working in Kerala for the last three years will be taken into consideration for the award.
The applicant should be a Ph.D. holder with 3 years Post-Doctoral experience.
Yes, the applicant should have working experience in any R&D/Academic institution in Kerala continuously for the last 3 years.
The age of the applicant should not be more than 37 years as on 31st December in the notifying year.
Each Awardee will be presented with a certificate and a cash prize of [?]50,000/-.
Yes, the recipient may be considered by the Council for a research grant of [?]50 lakhs after due consideration of the research project with the help of an expert committee.
Yes, the Awardee, within 3 years of the receipt of the award, will be considered for a visit abroad to present the research work at a conference.
