The scheme “Akhil Bhartiya Sanskrit Kavi Sammelan” is implemented by the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy, Haridwar, under the Department of Sanskrit Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The aim of the scheme is to promote and popularize the Sanskrit language and literature by encouraging poets who compose and recite poetry in Sanskrit.

Step 1: Offline application
The Kavi Sammelan is organized by the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy to commemorate national and state festivals. The program coordinator prepares a list of renowned Sanskrit poets from schools, colleges, and universities across the country. The proposed list is submitted to the competent authority for approval. Based on the approved list, poets recommended by the Secretary of the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy are invited to recite their poetry. <br>
Renowned Sanskrit poets from Uttarakhand as well as other states, including teachers from schools, colleges, and universities, are eligible to participate. <br>
A total of 15 Sanskrit poets, including those from Uttarakhand and other states, are invited to participate in each event. <br>
Yes, each invited poet is provided an honorarium of ₹2,501/- for participating in the event. <br>
