  • Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) less than 11.5 cm.
  • Weight-for-height Z-score less than -3 SD (standard deviation).
  • Bilateral pitting oedema (swelling on both feet).

    • The child is identified by health workers (ANM/ASHA/AWW) during community surveys or health check-ups. • Eligible children are referred to the nearest Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC). • On arrival, the child undergoes medical examination and anthropometric assessment to confirm eligibility. • Upon meeting admission criteria, the child and mother/caregiver are admitted free of cost. <br>
