Can the house under this scheme be constructed by a contractor?
No, the house must be constructed by the beneficiary themselves. Use of contractors is strictly not allowed. <br>
Can I apply if I already own a pucca house in my or my family's name?
No, applicants owning a pucca house in their or any family member’s name are not eligible. <br>
What is the carpet area of the house to be constructed under the scheme?
The carpet area must be at least 19.20 square meters (207 sq. ft.) with a minimum of two rooms. <br>
What is the role of the Block Level Housing Selection and Monitoring Committee (BLHSMC)?
BLHSMC screens, approves applications, and certifies progress for fund disbursement. <br>
Is any priority given to specific communities or groups?
Yes, preference is given to PH, SC, ST, senior citizens, minorities, single women, and other vulnerable sections. <br>
