"मुख्यमंत्री तीर्थ यात्रा योजना" योजना सूचना, जनसंपर्क और भाषा निदेशालय, हरियाणा सरकार द्वारा कार्यान्वित की जाती है। इस योजना के तहत 60 वर्ष से अधिक आयु के 1.8 लाख रुपये से कम वार्षिक आय वाले परिवारों के सदस्यों को अयोध्या, वाराणसी और अन्य पवित्र स्थानों की तीर्थयात्रा के लिए ले जाया जाएगा। उनकी यात्रा का सारा खर्च राज्य सरकार उठाएगी।
1. इस योजना के तहत वरिष्ठ नागरिकों को यह सुविधा प्रदान की जाती है जो अयोध्या, वाराणसी, नांदेड़ साहिब, पटना साहिब, अजमेर शरीफ और भारत में ऐसे अन्य धार्मिक स्थलों की यात्रा करना चाहते हैं। 1. यह योजना यह भी सुनिश्चित करती है कि यात्रा की बाधाएं और स्थानीय व्यवस्थाएं वरिष्ठ नागरिकों को यात्रा करने से न रोकें। 1. सरकार अयोध्या, वाराणसी, नांदेड़ साहिब, पटना साहिब, अजमेर शरीफ और भारत में ऐसे अन्य गंतव्यों के लिए तीसरी श्रेणी एसी में रेल यात्रा (आने-जाने) का खर्च वहन करेगी। 1. सरकार द्वारा निर्धारित मानक दरों पर निवास स्थान से ट्रेन यात्रा स्टेशन की शुरुआत तक परिवहन की लागत भी सरकार वहन करेगी। पी. पी. पी. आई. डी. से जुड़े आवेदक के बैंक खाते में यात्रा पूरी होने की पुष्टि के बाद इस लागत की प्रतिपूर्ति आवेदक को की जाएगी। 1. 80 वर्ष से अधिक आयु के आवेदक द्वारा रेल टिकट किराया शुल्क के 50 प्रतिशत के भुगतान पर या तो ऑनलाइन भुगतान के माध्यम से या पास के अन्त्योदय सरल केंद्र में नकद जमा करके आवेदक के साथ जाने के लिए एक परिचारक की सुविधा का लाभ उठाया जा सकता है।
