44% of the project cost will be as a composite subsidy for women, SC/ST & all categories of candidates from NE and Hill states and 36% of the project cost for all others.
Graduates from agriculture studies background will be given free of cost training if they wish to set-up centers.
National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) will be responsible for providing training to eligible candidates, through Nodal Training Institutes (NTIs) and motivating them for setting up of Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business Centers.
Ceiling of project cost for subsidy is ₹20,00,000/- for an individual project (₹25,00,000/- in case of extremely successful individual projects) and up to ₹100 lakhs for a group project (established by a group comprising at least 5 trained persons under the scheme).
The scheme tends to promote better farmina methods and to suprment and entrepreneurship, as well as use trained professionals to develop the agriculture sector
> Agri-Clinics:
Agri-Clinics provide expert advice and services to farmers for soil health, cropping practices, plant protection, crop insurance, post-harvest technologies, as well as offers clinical services for animals,feed and fodder management, prices of various crops in the market, etc.
> Agri-Business Centers:
Agri-Business Centers are units of Agri-ventures established by unemployed trained agriculture professionals, including maintenance and custom hiring of farm equipment, sale of inputs and other services in agriculture and allied areas.
> Project activities:
1. Extension consultancy services
1. Soil and water quality cum inputs testing laboratories (with Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers)
1. Pest surveillance, diagnostic and control services
1. Maintenance, repairs, and custom hiring of agricultural implements and machinery including micro-irrigation systems (sprinkler and drip)
1. Agri Service Centres include the three activities mentioned above (Group Activity).

1. Micro-propagation through Plant Tissue Culture Labs and Hardening Units
1. Setting up of Vermiculture units, production of bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides, and bio-control agents.
1. Setting up of Apiaries (bee-keeping) and honey & bee products' processing units
1. Provision of Extension Consultancy Services
1. Hatcheries and production of fish fingerlings for aquaculture
1. Provision of livestock health cover, setting up veterinary dispensaries & services including frozen semen banks and liquid nitrogen supply
1. Setting up of Information Technology Kiosks in rural areas for access to various agriculture-related portals
1. Feed Processing and testing units
1. Value Addition Centres
1. Setting up of Cool Chain from the farm level onwards (Group Activity)
