What is the Entrepreneurship Programme under the CBSP Scheme?
It is a suo-moto sub-scheme of the Ministry of Tourism, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in the tourism and hospitality sector through skill-based training in five trades for citizens who have passed Class 8th and are above 18 years of age. <br>

The programme offers 150 hours of training in the following five trades: - Cook – Tandoor - Barman - Baker - Homestay (Multi-Skilled Caretaker) - Halwai – Indian Sweets
Who is eligible to apply for this scheme?
Applicants must: - Be above 18 years of age- Have passed Class 8th- Submit necessary documents such as Aadhaar, proof of age and residence, and academic certificate. <br> <br>
What is the stipend provided to trainees?
Trainees with 80% minimum attendance are eligible for a ₹1,000 stipend, given in two installments: - First ₹500 after 75 hours of training- Second ₹500 after course feedback and self-employment status submission <br>
Is there any fee for applying?
Yes. The application fee structure is: - ₹100 for General candidates- ₹50 for Women and Physically Handicapped- No fee for SC/ST candidates Fees can be paid in cash or Demand Draft.
Will trainees receive a certificate after completing the course?
Yes. After clearing the final test and having 80% attendance, trainees receive a joint certificate signed by the Institutional Head and Programme Coordinator. <br>
How is employment support provided after the course?
The Implementing Agency will: - Facilitate self-employment by helping with loans (e.g., MUDRA) and registrations- Explore employment opportunities at Mega Tourist Destinations- Guide trainees on platforms like LMIS and SDMS <br> <br> <br>
What is the total cost per trainee for the programme?
The total cost is ₹11,340, which includes training fee, course material, certification, apron, lunch, stipend, and administrative expenses. Boarding/lodging and advertisement costs are reimbursed separately.
